Astronomers Fail in Measurement

Psalms 103:11 - For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness towards those who fear Him.
All the developments in modern science and technology have not yet been able to measure the height of the heavens from the earth. So vast is the distance between earth and the heavens that it is immeasurable and incomprehensible. God's Word has used this incomprehensible distance as an illustration to make man understand the measure of lovingkindness God has for His children. This distance is as vast as God Himself because God is as big as His attributes. We are the children of such a great God who is vast in His grace, love and compassion to us. And He extends all of it to all His children at all times. We won't be able to survive even for a day on this earth without His vast lovingkindness. He knows how much of it we need for our sustenance and growth in His grace on a daily basis and gives it to us. He is willing and eager that we enjoy His lovingkindness and imbibe into it. As we live in enemy territory, we would find it difficult to live here without the help of our God. In His lovingkindness, He gives us what we need and keeps away from us what would stand on our way to know Him more and more deeply and intimately. He has vast measure of lovingkindness and there is no shortage for it any time in our lives. He is willing to show it to us which is the only reason why we survive in the enemy territory where we are placed. His lovingkindness is His tender kindness as an expression of His deep and vast love for us as His children. How grateful we should be for God's lovingkindness to us!
Dear friend, do you realize how much of God's lovingkindness is poured onto you every day and every moment of your life? In order for God to show His lovingkindness to you, God had to allow His only begotten Son to die a brutal death on your behalf on the cross of Calvary. God allowed it to happen which no human beings would ever permit with regard to their children. But God did it and expressed His love to you to that extent. It is through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross that God is able to show lovingkindness to you because we human beings once turned our back against God and became slaves to His arch enemy. He loved us even when we were His enemies and gave His Son for us so that through Him, God can show lovingkindness to us. So God's lovingkindness that He shows to us is not without any cost. It cost God the greatest price and that is why it is the greatest gift any one would show to another person. God gives it to those who love Him and have unfettered devotion to Him as a response to the eternal life that He gave them through Jesus Christ. So God's lovingkindness to us demands that we live in the fear and devotion of the Lord and walk according to His commandments. As we live for Him in this world, He gives us all that we need to live a life pleasing to Him because of His lovingkindness. So if God doesn't give you something that you desire so much, it is because He knows that it is not good for your spiritual growth and strength. He might perhaps pass you through some experiences that are not very desirable, but that too will be for your spiritual growth and for you to trust Him to put all your faith in Him. This is why we praise God for both the experiences of hills and valleys in our lives. Today let us examine to see if we are truly devoted to God and fear Him in our daily lives and live as it pleases God. Let us continue to live to enjoy His lovingkindness and be grateful to Him for all that He gives us in His grace.
Psalms 108:4 - For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the skies.
Verse for Today
Knowing God is knowing the vastness of His overwhelming lovingkindness which is the basis of all His dealings with us.
